What is Tee Tinsel?
Tee Tinsel is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional tinsel, made from upcycled, unwanted tees! These old t-shirts are washed, transformed into yarn, and sewn together to create tinsel that won’t shed plastic or contribute to harmful microplastics.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to repurpose old t-shirts into beautiful, sustainable Tee Tinsel. Perfect for the holiday season or any festive occasion, this unique and creative project is not only fun but also helps reduce waste and keep harmful plastics out of our environment.
Bring your own tees in the colours that you would like your tinsel to be or we’ll provide some tees for you to practice on. You’re welcome to bring your machine and sewing tools however we have a class set you can use.
Other than that all that is required is that you bring your smile and creativity……. and maybe a friend 😉
