Stitch Basics Beginner Sewing Class

This one-time, 2-hour session is designed to teach you how to confidently use a sewing machine. In this class, you’ll learn:

  • Machine Setup: How to prepare your machine for sewing, including threading, winding bobbins, and matching threads.
  • Industry Terms & Techniques: Familiarise yourself with common sewing terminology and techniques.
  • Tool Basics: Gain skills with essential sewing tools like fabric scissors, pins, rulers, and marking tools, along with aligning pattern pieces.
  • Fabric Selection: How to choose the right fabrics for your projects.
  • Ergonomics & Safety: Learn best practices for maintaining a comfortable and safe sewing environment.

All of this is taught in a relaxed atmosphere. You have the option to bring your own sewing machine or learn on one of ours.

Important: It’s essential to complete our “Stitch Basics” class to get familiar with the sewing machine.
