This class is designed to help students gain confidence in completing successful sewing projects. After mastering our foundational Stitch Basics class (Unit 1), students join our ongoing sessions where they can work at their own pace through a variety of fun and engaging projects, each tailored to different skill levels learning new techniques with each project. Students are also encouraged to bring their own projects that match their abilities.

Our instructor ensures personalised guidance and encouragement, helping students achieve results they can be proud of. Whether they’re a beginner with basic sewing machine skills or a more experienced student, this class is for them!

Skill Level:

Suitable for beginners with basic sewing machine skills to more experienced students.

Details:

  • Date & Time: Term 1 class to be confirmed (please join the wait list)
    • We need a minimum of 7 students for classes to go ahead.
  • Location: Banyule Nillumbik Tech School, 61 Civic Drive
  • Cost: $300 for a 10 week term ($30 per week) or $40 per casual class
    • Note: Once we have reached minimum numbers you will be able to pay for the class. Please join the waitlist in the meantime
  • Age Group: Suitable for children aged 10+ however with parents’ support ages 5+ are welcome
      • Participants with special needs may require a support person. We recommend having a support person present for the first few classes so our instructor can get to know the participants and assess their level of needs alongside the other participants. Participants should be able to follow instructions and work independently. Our instructor will evaluate and discuss any additional support needed as the class progresses.
  • Materials Provided: Sewing machines ONLY will be provided.
  • What to Bring: Students can bring their own fabric & trims or purchase from our resource recovery centre (before or after the class)

We do NOT offer refunds under any circumstances. All our classes depend on sufficient numbers to run.

Class fees are not transferable to products within the shop

All classes are to be completed in the time frame of the original booking. ie classes can not be carried over to the next term or go towards school holiday classes. If you/participant is sick and can not attend class, please contact Katrina 0421 122 568 or katrina@afittingconnection.com.au by 9am the morning of the class requesting a make-up class. Approved make-up classes are to be made up within the same term as the original booking or will be forfeited.
