Learn to Sew: Pockets into a Skirt/Dress

Are you tired of your favourite dress or skirt not having pockets? Or maybe you have some clothes that you love but wish they had pockets? Join our upcoming Learn to Sew: Pockets into a Skirt Workshop to elevate your wardrobe with essential pockets!

Let's face it, who doesn't love pockets in their attire? Not only are they practical, but they are also a must-have! Enhance the functionality of your wardrobe by adding decent-sized pockets to those skirts or dresses that may be lacking.

In our enjoyable workshop, we will focus on seamlessly adding invisible in-seam pockets to your existing garments. You will have the opportunity to work on multiple pieces or explore other pocket styles that interest you. Don't worry if you don't have garments ready for the class; we offer fabric to practice on before diving into an exciting garment.

What to bring?

Your garments which lack pockets. We'll provide all necessary sewing equipment, including sewing machines, threads, irons, scissors, pins, needles, and fabrics. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine and sewing kit if you prefer.

Skill Level

Ideal for sewists with basic sewing skills who can confidently operate a sewing machine for simple projects. If you're drawn to the workshop but lack sewing machine skills, please attend one of our sewing classes or our Stitch Basics Class prior to the class.

This workshop welcomes individuals of all genders, including men, teens, and non-binary individuals.

How much?

$49.50 per person per session.

Cancellation & No Show Policy

All Creative Community Space classes are limited to a certain number of participants.  You need to give us notice if you wish to cancel.

We must receive a minimum of 1 WEEKS’ NOTICE of any calculations. Failure to do this means that your fee has been forfeited.

Last-minute cancellations will also be considered as No Shows
